DETAILS
Thompson Alchemists handmade combs are meticulously sawcut from a single sheet of Italian-produced cellulose (cotton) acetate, ensuring the rounded teeth are free of burrs that may snag and break hairs, resulting in split ends. In contrast, ordinary combs are molded from inferior plastics and have burrs and jagged seams, which can damage hair and strip it of shine. Additionally, cellulose acetate is a non-petroleum based plastic, often used in eyeglass frames, known for its gentle touch on skin and static reduction.
Our handmade combs are crafted with precision from one sheet of premium Italian-sourced cellulose (cotton) acetate. Carefully rounded teeth ensure hair doesn't catch or break, avoiding split ends. By contrast, ordinary combs are molded from low-quality plastic, leaving burrs and jagged seams that damage and dull hair. Cellulose acetate is a non-petroleum-based plastic often used for eyeglass frames; it won't irritate skin or cause static buildup.
